“To read a poem in January is as lovely as to go for a walk in June.”— Jean Paul Friedrich Richter, from “Hesperus or Forty-Five Dog Post Days, A Biography From the German”

My word for 2019 is • Heart •
My goal is to care for my physical & emotional heart in these new times. 2018 we were in the hospitals often because of my mom’s heart condition that she has inhertited but also developed because of eating habits. I know I need to be attentive to my heart now in order to live a life that is healthy & happy in the future.
I want to be more mindful of what I put into my body and the impact it might have on my heart. I want to be active in doing things that make me feel my heart beating heavier in my chest. *Thump thump thump* ♡
Quest Kid’s Bible lesson this past week was about making goals for the new year but how our ultimate goal is what Jesus has taught us. •Matthew 22:37• Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Our hearts have a lot to do with our emotions. I need to choose attitudes that are rejoicing to Jesus in all circumstances. Even painful, difficult & annoying ones. (Easier typed out then done in real life) I want to love Jesus more because He deserves my affection, my heart the most ♡
